CAROLINA GSE CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF SERVICE

Carolina GSE, a global provider of aviation ground support equipment and avionics solutions, celebrates 20 years in the aviation service industry. Founded in New Bern, North Carolina in July 2001, Carolina GSE serves a growing customer base in both the North American and international aviation markets. To commemorate their 20 years of service, the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a combined 20-year anniversary celebration and ribbon cutting for its new service and distribution center located at 430 Executive Parkway in New Bern on Thursday, August 26 at 2 pm.

Through its customer-focused vision, Carolina GSE has established a history of identifying and implementing ways to create and maintain exceptional customer experiences. The combination of offering excellent and innovative customer service, reliable products from its manufacturing partners and quality sales service has been an integral part of Carolina GSE’s continued success and growth. This enthusiasm for the aviation service and sales industry not only propels Carolina GSE’s growing team, but is also the foundation of company president John Werner.

John Werner’s passion for the aviation industry led him to flight school at Purdue University, where he graduated in 2006. During his training, he served as co-pilot in the King Air and Beechjet 400a. Upon graduation, Werner took his passion for flying to the sky as a pilot for U.S. Airways with New Bern as his homebase. After flying for six years, he welcomed the opportunity to serve in the ground support equipment side of the aviation industry. He began his tenure at Carolina GSE in 2010 and has been serving as Carolina GSE’s president since 2018.

Over its twenty years of service, Carolina GSE has continued to look for ways to serve as a one-stop solution for its customers. Carolina GSE developed a user-friendly website and app that allows customers to quickly find compatible ground service and avionics equipment by aircraft from a range of manufacturers, they expanded its product line to include fluids and avionics test equipment, and they continue to grow its facilities and service team. While the company began with two employees – one in sales and one in service – Carolina GSE has grown its team to 22 employees and has established more than 30 aviation manufacturing partnerships.

To better serve its customers, Carolina GSE expanded its service and distribution center in 2020. Located in Craven County’s Industrial Park, the 20,000 square foot facility created additional room for parts and equipment inventory, and has allowed the company to grow its team of skilled service technicians. “Our goal is to provide our customers with excellent, reliable and fast service,” said Dennis Stucker, Carolina GSE’s Service Team Leader. “Carolina GSE’s investment in our expanded facility is also an investment in our customer’s satisfaction.”

Carolina GSE views growth and expansion as a mechanism to continue its customer-focused vision. Werner sees the company continuing to diversify its range of capabilities to expand on its offerings for customers and to exceed their expectations from equipment, parts and service.

“On behalf of the Carolina GSE family, I would like to thank our loyal customers for allowing us to serve them over the past twenty years,” said Werner. “While we continue to grow and expand to better support the aviation industry, we remain true to our company vision of delivering superior products and services matched to our customer’s needs, creating and maintaining successful relationships with our manufacturers, and providing an environment to attract, grow and retain our team of exceptional employees.”
